Welcome to Beautiful Tragedy!

I would like to introduce ourselves and share with you what we are all about.

Our goal is to bring awareness and healing to what we have coined as an invisible brain injury, more commonly known as a "concussion" and/or a "brain event" (which we use to describe a head injury that isn't severe enough for the average person to call it a concussion) and its potential lasting effects known as Post-Concussion Syndrome.

What is an Invisible Brain Injury (concussion/brain event) and how does it effect me?

Invisible brain injuries are more common than you think.

  • An estimated 𝟏 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝟔 Americans live with a brain injury-type disability.

  • 3.8 million concussions occur each year in the United States.

  • 600,000 people who suffer concussions and/or a brain event will develop long-term Post-Concussion Syndrome.

Post Concussion Syndrome doesn't require a severe brain injury to effect you.

Often times, diagnostic testing such as CT scans and MRIs will come back negative for any visible injury to the brain, ie, bleeds, visable tissue damage, etc, and you'll be sent home without answers as to why you're feeling TERRIBLE and can't function.

However, these tests don't show or account for axonal tearing, stretching of the brain tissues, broken or damaged pathways, neuron communication failure, occular and vestibular disfunction, neck instability, muscle/ligament damage, artery/vein/vagus nerve compression in the neck, spinal misalignment, nervous system function, misalignments of the skeletal structure of the cranium, hormonal function, overall brain function, the gut/brain axis, systemic inflammation and    so much more.

Disfunction in any or all of these categories IS the cause of long-term Post-Concussion Syndrome.

If you can identify where the disfunction is, then you have the highest chance of rehabilitating the brain/body as close to its original state as possible.

With most mainstream medical establishments, it is almost impossible to detect and/or prove PCS and medications/treatment is, oftentimes, ineffective.

This proves nearly impossible to find healing for PCS as it requires travel across the country to multiple doctors that are well-versed in this injury and insurance doesn't cover this type of rehabilitaion.

Beautiful Tragedy is an umbrella name for several

entities that are designed to work together for comprehensive concussion rehablilitation - covering all aspects of concussion/brain event recovery BUT under one roof.

This has been an idea for several years now and it’s finally time to take action.

While we’re in our infancy stage, here’s where we’re headed!

This is who we are and what we are planning to do.
Our number one objective is to extend our hand to help people. And our hope is that those who have been helped, will turn around and extend their hand and help the next person in need. And if that process is repeated, soon we will have a band of people who went from just surviving to becoming PCS warriors, fighting for those that can’t fight for themselves.
